The Spice Is Nice

A cowboy passing through. A woman done running. And a fake relationship with an expiration date.

IVY

When my unwelcome ex rolls back into town like he thinks he still owns me, I have to do something to keep him away.

So I grab Colt Calhoun and kiss him in front of everyone. The steady and handsome cowboy I've befriended and been pretending not to fall for all summer becomes hard to resist when he offers to play my fake boyfriend long enough to get my ex off my back.

But Colt can sure play the role to perfection, protecting me from the past, and I'm not sure I want to be alone anymore.

COLT

My time at the Off-Duty Rescue Ranch is supposed to be temporary, which means I can't catch feelings for Ivy Wylde. I stay friend-zoned, but one night, one kiss throws everything off.

When her ex comes back with dangerous intentions, she digs into why—and I'm not letting her do it alone.

But getting too close to the truth puts us in the crosshairs.

When someone runs us off the road in a storm, the only shelter is a remote cabin—with only one bed in front of a cozy fireplace.

By morning, nothing between us feels fake anymore.

Only her ex isn't finished causing trouble. We'll find a way to deal with him, before he destroys everything she's built.

And when it’s all over, Montana may not be so temporary anymore because a love like I found with Ivy is worth staying for.
