Everything we build begins with the reader experience – joyful discovery, thoughtful organisation, and space to celebrate the stories that make us swoon.
Swoonstack is built around tropes and triggers because we understand how romance readers actually choose books. Tropes spark excitement; they help readers find exactly the kind of story they’re craving.
Triggers matter just as much.
Stories can heal, but they can also surface difficult emotions or past trauma. Our extensive triggers system exists to help readers navigate safely and make informed choices about what they consume.
We work carefully to ensure tropes and triggers are accurate and comprehensive. But this is a collaborative effort. We rely on our reader community, as well as authors and publishers, to help us maintain clarity and correctness. Transparency and safety are shared responsibilities.
Your reading experience should feel intentional, not accidental.
For Creators
Our favourite books are written by our favourite authors. Published by our favourite publishers. Illustrated by our favourite artists. Narrated by our favourite voices.
The stories we love exist because creators pour time, skill, and heart into their craft.
In an industry where many creatives feel undervalued or exploited, Swoonstack is built to uplift, not extract. We prioritise respect, visibility, and fairness.
We do not support the use of generative AI in the creative process. While books that utilise AI may appear in our catalogue, we will not knowingly promote, endorse, or advertise stories, artwork, or campaigns that rely on AI-generated creative work.
Romance is built on human emotion. We believe its creation should be too.
For Community
Swoonstack exists to bring readers together in kindness, curiosity, and shared obsession. Everyone’s tastes are different – thankfully.
That diversity is what makes romance vibrant. Whether you love slow burn or instalove, small town or dark fantasy, there is space for you here.
We present purchase options fairly and transparently, supporting a range of paths – from indie authors to illustrators, narrators, and publishers.
We believe in collaboration, mutual respect and long-term relationships.
Swoonstack is currently in its build phase, and we are growing intentionally. We would rather build slowly and thoughtfully than quickly and carelessly. Every feature is designed with readers and creators in mind. This platform exists because we believe romance deserves a space that reflects its heart.
