We are building Swoonstack for the way romance readers actually read. We help you find, filter, save, stack and track your romance books with the details that actually matter: tropes, triggers, spice, darkness, pairings, series order, format, narration style, and more.
Whether you are looking for your next slow burn, avoiding surprise heartbreak, hunting for duet narration, or trying not to accidentally start book seven in a series, Swoonstack is here to make discovery feel intentional, safer, and a lot more fun.
What’s the problem with romance discovery?
Finding your next romance read should not feel like a full-time research project.
Romance readers are spoiled for choice – but sometimes too much choice makes finding your next read harder. Endless releases, vague blurbs, missing trope details, surprise triggers, confusing series order and generic recommendations can turn discovery into work.
A good recommendation depends on mood, tropes, heat level, emotional intensity, boundaries, narration style, series context, relationship structure and the experience you want next.
Romance is specific, personal, trope-filled, boundary-aware and beautifully complicated. It deserves discovery tools built with that same level of care.
Why are we building Swoonstack?

Who is building Swoonstack?
Romance readers, with input from the romance-reading community.
Swoonstack is being built by Rebecca and Lauren – two friends who discovered a mutual love of reading romance and joined forces to build something for the community.
We are building it between day jobs, children, husbands, dog-walking, family life and the general chaos of creating something ambitious in spare moments.
We share the build on our socials, attend bookish events, chat with authors, reply to DMs and reach out for feedback wherever we can.

What’s next for Swoonstack?
We are incredibly busy at Swoonstack HQ, with design work, coding, data intake, creator outreach, feedback seeking, social posting, event attending, and more!
We are making finishing touches to features and layout before inviting our beta testers to join the site. We are building an incredibly feature-rich, wonderfully-romance-specific, creator-supportive platform that supports your romance-reading life. As romance readers ourselves, we have a strong vision for what Swoonstack can be, and we are getting there step by step. You can check out our Swoonstack Roadmap here.
We have also launched on our Discord for the topics we would particularly like community input.
