The King’s Commander

He cared only for duty until he met the one woman who could claim his soul.

My mission as the King’s Commander is absolute. I must travel to the untamed land of the Voyagers and retrieve the king’s secret son. With the royal heir dead, this hidden prince is the only hope of saving our kingdom of Meria from total ruin.

But complications arise the moment I arrive. No one will reveal when the king’s son will return from his latest mission. Worse, his closest confidante, a bold and fiercely protective woman named Aedre Lorenson, loathes me on sight.

She is a Garra. In my kingdom, those with the forbidden gift of healing must practice their arts in the shadows, but there is nothing covert about Aedre's vibrant strength. She challenges my every instinct, and I find myself completely captivated by her.

I tell myself I am only pursuing her to secure the king’s son, but I know it for a lie. She sees past the armor of a hardened commander to the man beneath. Now, as the fate of our world hangs in the balance, I am torn between the blood oath that binds me to the crown and the forbidden woman who has awakened my heart.
