Reluctantly His

My bodyguard is supposed to keep me safe, not control me.

As the youngest daughter in a wealthy, powerful family, everyone assumes I’m just an innocent, sheltered heiress.
Especially Reid Taylor, my overbearing bodyguard, who’s made it his mission to keep me in line and under his watchful eye.
He’s a former Army sergeant, now head of security for my family, and he’s determined to keep me in check, enforcing his strict rules with an iron will and expecting nothing less than total obedience.
But I’m not some meek little girl.

I push his limits at every opportunity—defying his rules, slipping out of his reach, and challenging him with a sharp tongue that I know gets under his skin.
Instead of pushing him away, it only seems to draw him closer.
Reid might be my protector, but I see the desire he struggles to contain.

Every act of rebellion only intensifies the tension between us.
I know he wants to dominate me, to make me surrender completely to his will.
But we both know that crossing that line would be dangerous.

Yet, when my father tries to force me into an arranged marriage, everything changes.
Reid’s protectiveness turns into a fierce possessiveness.
His control snaps, and I see just how far he’s willing to go to keep me for himself.
