Mountain Man & Hot Cocoa

One blizzard, one cabin, one dangerously tempting hermit. What could go wrong?

I'm going to die in this blizzard. My first solo hiking trip was supposed to be empowering after getting fired before Christmas. Instead, I'm lost, freezing, and completely unprepared when a brutal storm descends on the mountains.

Then I see salvation: a light through the trees. But when the cabin door opens, revealing a towering, bearded stranger with haunted eyes, I realize I'm at the mercy of Cole Davidson—an ex-military mountain hermit who's spent eight years avoiding human contact for reasons he won't explain.

As the storm rages outside, trapping us together, the tension between us grows. He's gentle when he tends my injured ankle, yet warns me he's too dangerous to be around. Every heated glance, every accidental touch, tells a different story than his gruff words.

The blizzard isn't letting up, and neither is the attraction burning between us, but when the storm finally clears… Will I choose safety or the most dangerous man I've ever met?
