Matt

A small-town veterinarian. A wounded grizzly shifter. A mate bond that threatens reputation and livelihood.

Dr. Matt Jennings built a respected veterinary practice in Burden, Texas—and a carefully constructed reputation as a straight man to protect it. He returned home years ago, believing he would never claim a mate, never risk exposure, never jeopardize his career.

Cannon Ray, a grizzly shifter and firefighter, takes shotgun blasts meant for his sister’s abusive ex-husband. He survives the attack only to discover the town veterinarian is his fated mate.

Matt wants stability. Cannon wants his mate—openly, fiercely, and without shame.

Matt must choose: protect his closeted identity and public standing—or claim his mate and risk everything in a small town where reputation means survival.

This is a high-heat male/male shifter romance about identity, courage, chosen family, and a possessive grizzly who refuses to lose his mate. Expect protective instincts, emotional vulnerability, explicit heat, and a hard-won HEA.
