Lane’s Destiny

Once bitten, twice shy.

Lane Petersen's thriving P.I. practice collapsed when his best friend and employee, Jace, betrayed him. At 31, Lane sells everything, buys a motorcycle, and plans to leave Canada after one final stop: his mother's wedding in Pearl Lake.

Meanwhile, Destiny Tremblay discovers a brochure for Pearl Lake's new inn while working at a Montreal printing company. She heads there under the pretense of seeking work, but her real mission is to find the ex-boyfriend who stole her beloved cat, Nala, a valuable purebred she fears he'll sell.

When Lane and Destiny meet, they join forces to find Nala— but their search uncovers dangerous secrets that put both their hearts and lives at risk.
