Bossy Hearted Boss

Ruby

I’m in love with my boss.

I know it’s a cliché love story—girl moves to a small town, gets a job at the local candy store, and falls hopelessly in love with her older boss.

Fletcher has been nothing but a gentleman toward me, even letting me live rent-free in the apartment above the candy shop. And how do I repay him? By drooling over him every time I see him. It’s a miracle I get any work done at all.

As far as I know, the attraction is only one-sided until he crashes my Galentine’s Day celebration with my friends at the local bar. Who knew it would take only a night out with my friends, celebrating our single status, to push my boss into making his move.

Fletcher

Ruby is too sweet for her own good.

She’s certainly too sweet for a bossy old grump like me. I like discipline and order in my business and in my personal life. But Ruby changed all that when she blew into town a couple of months ago like a curvy tornado.

I’d concealed my feelings for her until she told me about her plans to go out with her friends to celebrate Galentine’s Day—something I’d never heard of before. But just knowing she was going out to a bar where she might find someone her own age to date pushed me over the edge, making me realize I needed to claim her for my own.
