Air Awakens

She was taught to fear magic. Then she saved the Crown Prince’s life with a power that shouldn’t exist.

Vhalla Yarl is content as an apprentice in the imperial library, tucked safely away with her books from the feared Tower of Sorcerers and their dangerous magic.

Until the Crown Prince returns from the warfront on the verge of death.

Desperate to save him, Vhalla draws upon air magic—a rare elemental magic thought lost to time. A power so dangerous it could turn the tide of a brutal war. A magic Vhalla didn’t know she possessed.

Now, the sorcerers want to train her, the empire wants to claim her, and the Crown Prince—brooding, brilliant, mysterious—has made her his obsession. Thrown into a world of power and intrigue, Vhalla must navigate forbidden desires, clandestine meetings, court politics, deadly secrets, and a magic bond with the most dangerous man alive.

Accepting her magic means losing everything she’s ever known. But resisting it could cost her the power to protect all she loves.

And the closer she grows to the last man she should want, the more impossible the choice becomes. As war looms on the horizon, Vhalla will have to choose: her power, her love… or her life.

Perfect for fans of Throne of Glass, Graceling, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, Air Awakens is the first book in an addictive, completed five-book fantasy romance series brimming with elemental magic, slow-burn romance full of yearning, and a heroine who will grow from an unassuming young woman to a legendary sorceress.
