A Thankful Heart

A big-city architect with an escape plan. A small-town rescuer who prefers dogs to dates. And a Thanksgiving deadline that changes everything.

Dakota Parker has a simple philosophy: chocolate and dogs are more reliable than men. While mending her own broken heart, she spends her days crafting artisanal treats and finding forever homes for rescue animals in Marietta, Montana. With unconditional puppy love and a steady supply of cocoa, she has everything she needs… until a distractingly handsome architect disrupts her quiet life.

Seattle architect Bryce Grayson is counting the days until he can bring his father back to the city. He’s a man of steel and glass, not big skies and small towns. But his plan to leave Montana hits a major snag when he meets Dakota. Her resilience and warmth are more intoxicating than any city skyline, and her kisses are sweeter than the chocolate she sells.

As Thanksgiving approaches, they are running out of time to merge his Seattle career with her life in Marietta. If they can’t figure out how to build a life together before the holidays end, they’ll both lose the best thing they’ve ever found.
