A Lady’s Curves

Oscar Stafford, The Earl of Kendall, is in dire straits. While in Scotland avoiding the marriage mart, his steward ran off with one of the maids and quite a lot of money. Rather than cause a scandal, he hides the events that brought him back to London. If he obtains a new steward through the normal channels, all of the ton will know he was duped like a common fool. The Everton Domestic Society is renowned for being discreet, but can a woman do a man’s job? Already full of doubts, one look at the beautiful and womanly form of Miss Ann Wittman, and Oscar’s doubts are replaced by a rush of desire.

Ann Wittman has long been on the shelf. After three failed seasons, she joined the Everton Domestic Society to relieve her parents of their burden and make her way in the world. That was seven years ago. She’s spent much of her employment helping other young ladies find appropriate matches—the worst punishment for not being a diamond of the first water. The opportunity to run estates rather than teach etiquette is too delicious to turn down. Oscar Stafford is far more stunning than any Greek statue, but his homes are in complete chaos. Ann will have to push aside a lifetime of pent-up desire if she’s going to succeed in a man’s world. Can she ignore the earl’s allure and get the job done?
