The Playmaker

As the league’s reigning playboy, I’ve had more than a few women arrive on my doorstep. But until tonight, I’ve never had a baby show up.

A baby.

Out of options, I’m grateful when my grandma and her friend offer to move in and help.

Until someone else shows up at my house.

My new elderly roommate’s very young, very attractive, granddaughter.

The last thing I need is to get involved with someone who is down on their luck. Besides, I need to be figuring out this whole parenting thing. Not winning over Stevie.

It’s hard not to be drawn to this woman that I have so much in common with. Until one night, it becomes more. She doesn’t see me the way the world sees me—she sees me for the person I am underneath the playboy reputation.

The more time we spend together, the harder I fall. After running from the image I thought I needed, I might finally have it all.

Until my past once again comes back to haunt us both…
