The Flames Between Us

I never thought I'd risk my career for a man who saves lives but can't seem to save himself.

When Chief Brock sends him to my office, Ollis is resistant, angry, and haunted by the memory of a fire. He needs my professional help to overcome his trauma and return to active duty. What he doesn't need is his therapist developing feelings that cross every ethical line.

After all, as a trauma psychologist specializing in first responder PTSD, I've helped dozens of heroes face their demons. But Ollis Crawford is different. Beneath his tough firefighter exterior lies a vulnerability that calls to something deep inside me, something I've tried to keep buried since I left the medical field.

When we unexpectedly meet at a local diner, and I see him in his full firefighting gear, sooty and commanding, my resistance begins to crumble.

How can I help him overcome his trauma when all I can think about is what it would feel like to be claimed by a man who rushes into flames while others flee?

The Flames Between Us is a short, sweet, and steamy small-town instalove romance with a happy-ever-after. It can be read as a standalone or together with the rest of the books in the Cedar Falls: Fire Department series.
